Making your own soap powder will make a huge difference to your body, especially if you suffer from Dry & Troubled skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and acne.

Clothes washed in shop bought clothes wash are choc full of Methylisothiazolinone, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Chemical Perfume/Scent etc. They irritate the skin and can cause major skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea, acne and boils, sores.  Clothes washed with these toxins sit next to your skin, you sleep on the bedclothes and pillows and its near on impossible not to absorb these toxins on a daily basis.

By making this one simple change, you can drastically reduce your and your family's body toxicity levels!

Clothes Wash Powder Recipe

  • 100g natural soap
  • 14 ounces borax substitute
  • 14 ounces washing soda
  • 10 Drops each Lemon, Eucalyptus and Tea Tree Essential Oils (antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic etc)

Add the soap pieces into a food processor or blender, add the borax and blitz till the soap is in fine particles. Add the Washing Soda and mix again. (Just let the dust settle before removing the lid so you don’t inhale the fine particles.)

Store in a sealed container.  Add 2 tbsp into the washing machine tray.

don’t use fabric softener as it’s also full of chemical fragrance and nasties!  I use a natural Fabric Freshener and spray it directly onto clothes on the clothes line, airer or sprayed onto clothes before putting in the tumble dryer.  However, at my Green Cleaning Workshop I teach you how to make natural aromatherapy non-toxic Fabric Freshener, All Purpose Cleaner & Window Cleaner.
